Welcome! I am Sarah, the founder of Sunshine Speech Therapy and a speech and myofunctional therapist with over 8 years of experience supporting children with speech, language, feeding, and orofacial myofunctional needs.
I started Sunshine Speech Therapy in the middle of the 2020 pandemic when I realized too many kids in the Richmond, Virginia area were going without services. As a neurodivergent therapist, I care deeply about creating a space where kids feel safe being themselves and families feel truly supported. I believe therapy should be fun, connected, and affirming, and that’s what we’re all about!
I am honored to lead a dynamic team of passionate and highly qualified speech therapists who believe in our mission of providing therapy founded on authentic relationships and connection. As a leader, I make sure our therapists feel just as supported as the families we work with, and I like to think our mix of clinical excellence and quirky fun makes us something special.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me writing children’s books, making up silly songs, lifting weights, or hanging with my husband, dog, and pup.
