Welcome! I’m Sarah, the founder of Sunshine Speech Therapy and a speech and orofacial-myofunctional therapist with over 9 years of experience supporting children with speech, language, feeding, and orofacial myofunctional needs. 

I started Sunshine Speech Therapy in the middle of the 2020 pandemic when I realized too many kids in the Richmond, Virginia area were going without services. I care deeply about creating a space where kids feel safe being themselves and families feel truly supported. I believe therapy should be fun, connected, and affirming, and that’s what we’re all about!

I’m honored to run a practice rooted in authentic relationships and connection. I believe deeply in providing therapy that is both clinically excellent and joyful for the families I serve. My hope is that the care I provide feels supportive, personal, and maybe even a little quirky—because building real connection with kids is at the heart of everything I do.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me writing children’s books, making music, lifting weights, or spending quality time with my husband, my son, and our two mutts.
